Workbenches range widely in their design, they can be small like some jewellers workbenches, or very large workbenches such as staircase makers may use. Most workbenches are of rectangular shape, and have a flat working top surface. They can vary widely in design, and different sizes and types of workbench will be utilized for specific types of work.

* Metal Work benches

* Woodworking benches

* Gardening benches

* Electronics Workbenches

* Laboratory Workbenches

* General and Multi-Purpose workbenches

More modern woodworking benches are now made of metal and wood, with the general frame-work of the bench being manufactured from metal, and the work surface made from timber or timber product. Metal working benches are generally made from metal. Metal working vices can be attached to the benches by clamps, or more usually bolted to the surface of the workbench for a more sturdy fixture.

Other types of workbench can include ; Adjustable workbenches and Cantilever workbenches. Adjustable workbenches may be manually or electrically powered, to alter the working height and angle etc.

The work surface usually consists of two pieces of hard durable material.
Steel Workbenches Can Handle Anything You Throw at Them

Executive Summary By Y. Tilden

Advanced work requires an advanced workspace and modern workbenches offer a sturdy place to work that looks stylish at the same time.

Steel workbenches, in particular, combine a contemporary design with a high level of strength and reliability. The strong steel workbenches are made with all-welded 16-gauge box steel frames and usually come with powder coat finishes. Even though steel is very strong, powder coating protects the frame from being scratched or nicked, allowing your steel workbench to maintain a clean and professional appearance.

Designing and testing an electronic circuit is a tedious job. Testing is the area where a computer program can be of help; then you will not need to worry that anything will burn up if things go wrong somewhere. Also, the advantage of using ideal components is provided.

Electronics Workbench includes all the tools needed to inspect any electronic or electrical circuit. The circuits can be simulated using ideal components as well as regular ones. It includes a library with a huge list of analog and digital components. If the component you are looking for is not available, you may create it and save it on the user section of the library. It can be done either by editing a component or creating a new one. You will find the chip makers very useful.

Version 5 is a very old one. The component library is somewhat small but it is quite enough for a beginner. The 74xx digital ICs and the general analog ICs, like 741, and also the 555 timer, DAC, ADC, etc., are available. All we need to do is set up the circuit by dragging the components including the measurement devices, function generator, etc., and click on the start button.

Analysis with graphs is available too. It is very useful in constructing bode plots, etc. The program comes with a lot of circuit examples so that you can easily study them. The Circuit Design Community on the Internet is the best source for Electronics WorkBench example files and projects.

The newer versions, like the latest one 10.1, include a lot more components and tools.Download Hereelectrocircuit schemahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07478309875562711279noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3011746756873868564.post-45166967930661843182011-05-01T16:00:00.000-07:002011-05-13T16:02:31.517-07:00Electronic EngineeringElectronics Engineer
How To Market To Electronics Engineering Industry

Executive Summary By Alexander Gordon

Electronics industry is a very huge industry, and engineers, who are very hard to be convinced, take most of the purchasing decisions. Therefore, if you are planning to market your products to electronics industry, you have to be more cautious in your marketing efforts.

Engineers are interested in quality and attributes of the product. How Can You Market Products to Engineers?

A recent survey says engineers have two types of information needs:

Heads - Down Information: This kind of information provides guidelines to the engineers for fixing work related problems. It also includes information about features of products. For such information, engineers prefer using web sites.

Keeping theses differences in mind, you can plan and implement your message and media strategies. Online marketing helps you provide detailed information to the clientele, whenever the demand for it. Engineers spend most of their time in researching and fir this, they use the World Wide Web.
This makes digital electronic scales the scales of choice in laboratories and other places where even the most minute particle can make a difference. Of course, accuracy just isn't limited to weighing those "specks", digital scales also are more accurate at showing overall weight.

Less Human Error : Digital scales also make for less human error when reading the scales. While analog lines use lines to mark off increments of weights, digital scales always show digits. Digital electronic scales also have the benefit of being able to distribute the information of the scale to various people and locations faster than analog scales.
How to Choose a Digital Signature Solution

Executive Summary By Olga Pulisman

There are 6 simple points to consider when choosing a Digital Signature Solution (standard electronic signature) for your organization. To ensure a low Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and a speedy Return on Investment (ROI) from your Digital Signature solution, read on.

1. Seals Documents - This is the basic building block of a true digital signature solution. Tip: Only digital signatures based on Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) technology can truly seal a document.

2. Multiple Application Support - Many digital signature solutions support only PDF and Word applications, which may be sufficient support for some. Tip: Make sure the applications you intend to sign in your organization are supported by the solution you choose.

3. Graphical Signatures - Of the standard applications that have digital signature capacity, almost all lack graphical signature support. Graphical signatures ensure the signature is visually noticeable, and have a psychological impact: the signer is reassured they have signed the document and that it is legally compliant.

Tip: Occasionally, different graphical signatures are required (e.g., initials, full signature).

4. Multiple Signatures - Many digital signature solutions do not allow altering the document once a signature is applied.

Tip: If your company requires several people to digitally sign a document, ensure that your solution offers this feature.

IT staff can find themselves spending weeks every year managing the selected digital signature solution. Costs can skyrocket.

5. Seamless User Registration - Implementing your digital signature solution must be as simple as possible. Tip: It should take a single click to ensure your document is sealed and legally compliant.

6. Total Cost of Ownership - Not everyone considers TCO when purchasing a digital signature solution.
Those basic parts are then built into some several combination that structure building blocks for other circuits.

Some people who have enough experiences might not find any difficulty in designing electronic circuit. First, you need to know well about the characteristics and behavior of either intermediate or advanced components of electronic circuit. Sometimes, you can find sample circuits that will help you get more information in using the parts. Some parts that usually contain this information are including semiconductors such as diodes, transistors, as well as op-amps.

Second, you should also learn more about some basic circuits used in many kinds of electronic devices. You will also get this information easily from any basic electronics text. For example, you can have more practices in modifying a Light-Emitting Diode (LED) circuit.

By following those simple steps, you will easily get used to design electronic circuit properly.

In today's article I'm going to talks about capacitor act as filter to remove ripple from power supplies. Usually, the filter includes one or more capacitors. The capacitors are then placed between the DC line and ground. The value of the capacitors is chosen carefully to give the filter circuit a certain timing constant or TC. This unwanted noise signal can cause problems in electronic circuit. If all capacitors checked okay I would then move on to another circuit. Why not one filter capacitor is enough for each DC line voltage? The answer is that the big filter capacitors (large value) at the secondary side of power supplies is to smooth the DC and remove unwanted lower frequency noise. The small blue capacitor has very high chances to go fully shorted compare to electrolytic capacitor which is very rare.
Smart Tips to Take Your Electronic Devices Overseas

Executive Summary By Alexander O Mcgee

As the first step, the voltage of all your devices that you want to take overseas should be checked. If you find that your device says 110v - 220v, it means that the device comes in dual voltage so that you do not have to convert the voltage if you want to carry it with you.

If you find that the device is not dual voltage, the second step that you should do is to buy the small step-down converter or the transformer for helping you converting the voltage. Basically, most devices that you can buy in the USA come with thin, vertical metal prongs, while the standard overseas for the devices is round metal prongs.
Here is a short sketch of what's in wholesale electronics.

Wholesale electronic shops are wholesale distributors, liquidators, and/or exporters of consumer electronic products. Many consumer electronic and computer products are now available wholesale. Wholesale electronics now include communication products, electronic components and production equipment, home appliances, medical devices, IT products, safety or security products, and even fashion electronics.

Wholesaler electronics shops buy large quantities of products. Some wholesale companies buy directly from manufacturers who produce the appliances, gadgets, and PC accessories. If you are planning on finding some supplies from wholesale electronics, first learn about the reputation of the wholesaler. Find feedback on their products, especially if they offer used or refurbished items.

You will also find Bluetooth watches, car audios, DVD players and recorders, camcorders, cell phones, spy gadgets, and MP3 players of all brands. Wholesale electronics are usually picking up sales at this time. Just as with other wholesale items that can be drop shipped, electronics items can be shipped directly from your company name, but coming from the wholesaler.

A Practical Tip For Wholesale Electronics

Executive Summary By Kato Jasmine

Most of the people have fascinations for brand electronic items. Nowadays, consumers not only crave for branded items but also want to have items of impressive and eye-catching features at minimum costs. The idea of wholesale electronics thus flourished. Wholesale electronics, a widely used term nowadays, are electronic products sold directly to the customers at the retail prices without the involvement of middlemen. A large number of wholesale electronics sites are there to provide products to the customers directly from China.

Wholesale electronics suppliers buy electronic items like consumer electronics, gadgets, security equipment and PC accessories from the local manufacturers and then they sell those to consumers at wholesale price. About online paying system, a few Wholesale Electronics have 'PayPal Verified Seller' certification. For customer services, some have 'Life Support' service along with newsletter services. There are also some consumers, who are not only satisfied in just buying impressive products from wholesale electronic suppliers but also want to be potential sellers.
Some, like Newark InOne of Canada, conduct testing to check if the component is compliant, and grade their suppliers accordingly. Customers will have to continue relying upon distributors to get assurance of compliance.

Among the top distributors of electronic components are Arrow Electronics, Avnet, Future Electronics, Bell Microproducts, Memec Insight, TTI, Newark InOne, Digi-key, All American and Nu Horizons. All of them distribute components like semiconductors, passives, electromechanical devices, connector products, computer equipment, embedded subsystems, crystals, test equipment, and active components, including analog, clock and timing devices, and so on.
Test Electronic Components

Executive Summary By Timothy Payn

To be able to test electronic components accurately is essential to identifying faults for any electronic repairer. Top quality electronic testing equipment is therefore much sought after.

Normally, however, this type of equipment to test electronic components can be relatively expensive, especially for do it yourself enthusiasts and people thinking about starting a small or part-time business.

There are some guides available to show beginners how to test electronic components and how to repair electronic devices and appliances. Good electronic test guides should include the following:

Secondly, make sure any guide not only explains how to make your own testing equipment but also explains which equipment to use for particular jobs, how you actually employ that equipment, what to test for and in what sequence. It's all very well to have superior testing equipment to hand but if there is no methodology to follow in testing, you will just be wasting your time.

Without doubt, working out how to test electronic components can become quite complex. Ensure any manual also covers testing for faults and shorts using an analogue meter and how to make such a meter.

Simple Ways To Understand The Filter Capacitors In Electronic Circuits

Executive SummaryBy Jestine Yong

You could see mica capacitors, ceramic capacitors, tantalum capacitors, aluminum electrolytic capacitors, paper capacitors and etc. Electronic Field - Act as filter to remove ripple in power supplies;

- As inter stage signal coupling capacitors- A capacitor will not pass DC, but an AC signal will go through;

- Tuning resonant circuits, oscillator circuits;

In today's article I'm going to talks about capacitor act as filter to remove ripple from power supplies. Usually, the filter includes one or more capacitors. The capacitors are then placed between the DC line and ground.
Communication Methods

* Project team meeting

* Stakeholder meetings

* Portal or project intranet site

* Collaborative work management tools

There are pros and cons to different methods of distributing (communicating) project information. General Categories of Communication

* Face-to-face communications (group or individual meetings)

* Hard-copy communications (letters, memorandum, reports)

* Electronic communications (email, conference calls, web conferencing)

Hard-copy communications can really be combined with the category of electronic communications. Given the shortage of time, tight budget controls, the need for project managers to manage multiple projects, and project team members spread out over the country or in different countries, electronic communication methods are quite common. There are various methods of electronic communications and you may deploy a certain method depending on the communication need. Communication Management Plan

(Reference: Project Management Body of Knowledge, 4th Edition, Chapter 10: Project Communications Management, Section 10.2.3)

* Stakeholder requirements for communication

* Reason for the distribution of the information (e.g., share information, make decisions)

* Time frame and frequency of communications

* Person responsible for communication of information

* Methods or tools used to convey information (e.g., email, meetings)

* Resources allocated for communicating information including time expectations and budget

* Method for updating and refining the communications management plan

* Flow charts depicting information flow in the project including workflows with sequence of authorization, reporting, meeting plans, etc.

* Company policies around communications

* Size of the project and number of individuals involved, project complexity
Basic Electronic Components and Supplies Needed by the Electronics Newbie

Executive Summary By Andy Bauer

Basic Components and Supplies to Start Out

Working on electronic projects is a great way of learning electronics and depending upon the project undertaken, a number of tools and electronic components may be needed accordingly. Carbon film resistors are a good choice for small electronic projects.

Ceramic disc capacitors or electrolytic capacitors are both good choices for beginning electronics projects, and again, a good variety would be needed in terms of values. Signal diodes are also a good buy for electronic projects and these electronic components find application in a number of projects. The next electronic component to consider would be rectifier diodes which are needed in power supplies. Transistors are the next electronic components to be considered. I recommend TO92 package for beginners.

A switch is a good component to have on hand. Depending upon the circuits and projects, some integrated circuits would also be needed. Depending on your project, how about a project box or enclosure?
Building simple electronics projects allows the student to see electronic theory in action, and it allows them to develop essential skills like soldering, disordering, working with pc (printed circuit) boards, etc.

Carl's AK-100 Learn to Solder Kit is one of those simple electronics projects that not only teach you how to solder, it teaches you another essential skill, how to read color codes, while building a working electronic siren. Well you can buy the box and then install the electronic playback unit that you have built from a kit. Carl's Music Box kit is another of those simple electronics projects that allows you to practice the skills that you have already learned while developing new skills and mastering new theory. Enjoy your newfound hobby of building simple electronics projects. Carl's is just one o many online sources for electronic kits, tools, and supplies.
Fun Electronic Projects for Kids

Executive SummaryBy Bill Adamson

The excitement of building electronic projects that actually work provides a great learning process for young kids exploring the field of electronics.

Learning by Doing

Many of today's computer games do have some redeeming value for learning. A child can develop good eye-hand coordination, learn by trial and error, and strengthen memory by recalling various sequences when sent back to prior levels of play. However, a parent's dilemma may revolve around their child's obsessive use of computer games.

When the "puzzle" of electronic projects with various loose parts is presented to your child a whole new avenue of learning develops.

It Works!

There are several electronics kits suitable for your child available in internet stores.

What is Electronic Drums

Electronic drums are kind of percussion instruments where the sound is produced by an electronic waveform generator or sampler instead of by acoustic vibration. The electronic drummer has virtually boundless prospects for configuring many different sounding drum kits from one set of electronic drums, because of its capacity to assign diverse sounds to any given pad.

Electronic drummers, also add up, in sampling non-percussive sounds to use them as drum sounds. Electronic Drums Module

The modern drum modules are bundled with amazing features and the power to create unlimited drum kits. Acoustic drum kits build their sound through physical divisions of the drums, such as the shell, head and trapped air pressure within the drums.

Market for Electronic Drums

There are four electronic drum companies that control the market today. Drum kits being manufactured today have dealt with many of the inadequacies of early electronic drums.
The Benefits of Using an Electronic Drum Set

Executive Summary By Jamie Hanson

Likewise you had acoustic drums and nowadays the electronic drums have taken the music field. The acoustic drums are built to sound loud which gives a body shaking sound when attached to a live stage performance.

Acoustic drums cannot be silent whereas the electronic drum sets can be set for sound depending on the surroundings it is being played. The traditional drum disturbs the neighborhood. Similarly, in an acoustic drum you require to tune the drums and cymbals every time you perform. More advanced and high end electronic sets produce the sound which can be said to be near as an acoustic drum.

Traditional drums lose their sound when coming into moisture contact. Electronic drum set offers you with different selection of sound and sound level. While in the event of electronic drum it has several types of sound effects.

Initially the electronic drum sets were costly and was used by high level professionals.
Some of the main electronic components are:

Resistors - A resistor is a component that is used to resist the flow of electricity, allowing only the desired amount to flow through. Resistor strength is measured in OHMs, but since there is generally a high resistance level, the prefixes kilo(k) and Mega(M) are used to delineate the strength. The capacitor strength is measured in farads(F) and uses the prefixes micro (millionth), nano (thousand-millionth), and pico (million-millionth) to measure its strength. These components are extremely small, so similar to the resistors, the capacitors are color coded to display the strength.

Diodes and Transistors - These both deal with modifying the flow of the electrical current. Both diodes and transistors are integral electrical components, and allow electronics to run smoothly.
